Conan the Barbarian Motion Poster

What says epic barbarian more than an epic motion poster? Um, I don't really have an answer. Just look at this. (It takes a second to load)

Conan the Barbarian, with Jason Momoa in the starring role, will hit theaters this summer and it seems Lionsgate is trying some unique promotion. I've never seen something like this before. It's cool, but after staring at it a while I just start to get vertigo. And I needed to turn the sound off after about 20 seconds. It does, however, feature shirtless Jason Momoa so it's A-OK in my book.

The film, also starring Ron Perlman and Rose McGowan, has a new website up as well. What do you think of the Frank Frazetta-inspired 3D poster?

I love the concept! Is it too geeky to wonder if Harry Potter-style photographs are very far away?

I remember motion posters being part of the curriculum back when I was at University in 2006. I'm pretty sure there have been others, though I can't recall if any of them made such a splash.

I love the Conan comics, but none of the films so far've lived up to 'em.

(...haven't read the books, so can't comment on their success in that direction, so far...).

...have to say, though, this Jason you fancy seems a bit of a Momoa's boy to me!

Pfff!

...which sort of brings me to how I ended up here today...

I was visiting another of me online women, Jacque over at Sequential Crush, when I chanced to scroll all the way down to the bottom and find this little yellow box containing the words, 'MEANWHILE, AT THE COMIC BLOG ELITE...'

Ooer, I thought, unable to resist clicking on it, and found myself gazing at some sort of blog ratings chart.

Ah, but what should I find listed at number 13, near taking me eyes out? Why, your 'boobs', of course, (verbally speaking).

Aha, I thought! Reads Comics, Has Boobs - GOT BRAINS!

Ooh, y'crafty mare!

But why not go the whole hog and just call it BOOBS! You'll go straight to number one!
